A seventh defeat of the season was inflicted in their previous outing, meaning that they are now five points adrift of the Champions League spots. But, a return to winning ways on Sunday could see them climb back up to fifth in the table.
Home wins have been a common outcome when these sides have clashed, with each of the last three, and five of the last seven being home by the team with home field advantage. Over that period, Lyon have recorded victories in each of their last three home matches against Lens.
The quality that Lyon boast is beginning to show, and they should have the quality to play a role in the race for a European spot between now and the end of the season. Therefore, we could see them landing a home win over Lens this weekend.
