Liverpool vs Wolverhampton Prediction: EPL Match on 29.12.2019

The Reds is on fire lately. They have been unbeaten in the Premier League with only one draw in eighteen games. Klopp’s men are even more confident to claim their first Premier League title since 1990 as they won the Club World Cup in Qatar just now. Thus, in this final game of 2019, they definitely plan to entertain their home fans by goal galore if possible. Luckily, they only take on Wolverhampton this Sunday.

Liverpool and Wolverhampton Previous Matches

Jordan Henderson was really unstoppable recently. On the Boxing Day, they hammered the runner-up, Leicester City 4-0 at King Power stadium. Roberto Firmino’s brace, James Milner’s penalty and Trent Alexander-Arnold’s long-range strike put the host in shame as they failed to respond well or even scored any consolation goal.

The Wolves had their 2-1 win while visiting Norwich last week. Romain Saiss and Raul Jimenez netted the winning goals for them. Unfortunately, their positive form did not continue on the Boxing Day fixture as they were crushed by the reigning Champion, Manchester City.

Possible Tactic

Jurgen Klopp has always opted for 4-3-3 formation this season. His daunting trident is still the main scorer supported by the explosive wing-backs on both sides. They do not seem to be tiresome in passing, crossing or even shooting balls as well as moving up and down the pitch.

Meanwhile, Nuno Santo has been in favor of 3-4-1-2 or 3-4-3 formations during the whole time of his reign in The Wolves. The Mexican Raul Jimenez is still the main frontman. His contribution to the team this season has been amazing.

Players to Watch

The current top performers in Liverpool are certainly their trident, Firmino-Mane-Salah who has scored thirty goals this season altogether in all competitions. Apart from them, their wing-backs, Andrew Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnolds are the most notable ones. They both have provided thirteen assists for The Reds.

Wolves’ Portuguese connection is still the most important key figure in his team. The midfielders Joao Moutinho, Ruben Neves and the goalie Rui Patricio seem irreplaceable in the line-up. Another one to watch is the Mexican forward, Raul Jimenez with his ten goals and seven assists in all competition so far.

Liverpool vs Wolves Prediction

The match might not be one-sided as Nuno Santo’s men will not let their side leave Anfield without any points to secure their spot in the European zone for the next season. Nevertheless, it is not hard to say that Klopp’s men will seal another win this time considering their latest form and mentality.

Betting Odds

The host is simply a clear favorite. They are backed to win at 1.26. The odd for draw result is only at 5.70 and Rui Patricio and Co are only priced to win at 10.50.
