Arsenal moved back to the top of the Premier League standings last weekend with a dramatic late win over Aston Villa. They will be looking to maintain their title challenge once again in the Midlands this weekend when they travel to the King Power Stadium to take on Leicester City.
Premier League Preview
There was a feeling after Arsenal’s defeat against Manchester City that their chance to win the Premier League title was over. However, the over-reaction was evident after the most recent round of matches, as the Gunners moved back to the top of the standings following their win at Aston Villa. Manchester City dropped points just a few hours later, and it means that Mikel Arteta’s side once again boasts a two-point advantage with a game in hand.
It was the manner of Arsenal’s win over Villa that was the most pleasing, as they twice battled back from behind to seal a 4-2 win at Villa Park. The Gunners continued to battle until the end, and scored the winning goal in the 93rd minute, before Gabriel Martinelli added a fourth in the 98th minute.
Leicester City are by no means out of the woods when it comes to their Premier League survival this season, as the Foxes remain just four points above the bottom four places in the league standings. They were humbled by Manchester United at Old Trafford in their previous league match, as they failed to go four matches without defeat.
However, their recent home form has been very encouraging, as the Foxes showcased how strong they can be at the King Power just a few weeks ago with a big win over Tottenham Hotspur. But, this looks a much tougher assignment this weekend.
Leicester City vs Arsenal Head to Head
Arsenal has claimed victories in each of their four previous league meetings against Leicester City. They were 4-2 winners in the previous meeting between the sides this term. However, Leicester has still won three of the previous five matches between the sides at the King Power.
Leicester City vs Arsenal Prediction
This will be another huge game in the Premier League this weekend for Arsenal. Leicester were disappointing at Old Trafford last weekend, and we expect a better display back in front of their home fans on Saturday. However, the Gunners look good value for maximum points on the road.
