According to The Spun, LeBron James could have extended his contract with the Los Angeles Lakers until 2023 so that he could play for the same team with his son Bronny.
According to the insider Shams Charania on Twitter, in 2023, the son of the four-time NBA champion will have the opportunity to stand for the draft if the league by then repeals the one-and-done rule that prohibits young players from doing it right after school.
James previously said that he dreamed of playing with his son in the NBA. The forward, who will be 38 at the time of the draft, will become a free agent and will be able to move to the team that will select Bronny.
Recall that the Lakers signed a contract with a 35-year-old James for a $85 million extension. ESPN has calculated that LeBron James will earn $82 per minute on a new two-year contract with the Los Angeles Lakers.
In total, 35-year-old James will receive $85.7 million in maximum renewal. Under this agreement, the four-time NBA champion will earn $3.57 million per month, or $117,397 per day, or $4891 per hour, or $1.36 per second.
LeBron led the Lakers to the title last season, averaging 25.3 points, 10.2 assists and 7.8 rebounds.
