It has been a stuttering start to the Serie A season for Inter Milan, but they look to be back on track. They will be looking to pick up a fourth straight victory in the Italian top-flight this weekend, as they take on Sampdoria, who are currently 18th in the standings.

There have been signs of recovery in the previous couple of weeks by Inter Milan, as they look to salvage their season after an incredibly slow start to the campaign. That slow start already means that they are eight points off the top of the table, but a run of three straight victories has put them within three points of the Champions League places.

Inter do appear to have turned a corner after losing four of their opening eight fixtures. Their most recent victory was picked up against Fiorentina last weekend, as Henrikh Mkhitaryan scored the winning goal in a 4-3 victory in the 95th minute. Sampdoria would have breathed a sigh of relief last weekend, as their wait for a first victory of the Serie A season came to an end. That victory means that they were able to rise up to 18th in the standings, and are now within two points of the safety places in the league standings.

Sampdoria were made to work incredibly hard for their first league win of the season, as they broke the deadlock with just over ten minutes remaining, despite having less of the possession. The winning goal was scored by Omar Colley, and they will be hoping that will be the start of a winning run.
