The MFA Centenary Stadium will host a Europa Conference League clash between the home side Gzira United and the visitors Diddeleng on Thursday at 17:00 GMT.
The two sides will contest the first leg of the second qualifying round of the competition, with the two sides fighting to make it into the third qualifying round.
Gzira navigated through a tough and evenly contested clash with Glentoran FC in the first qualifying round. In the first leg, Gzira held Glentoran FC to a 1-1 draw at home. In the second leg, Gzira and Glentoran FC fought to a 2-2 stalemate. The ensuing penalties saw Gzira prevail 14-13.
Gzira will look to bolster their defensive shape to ensure that they can keep clean sheets. After conceding three goals in the previous round, they will look to be compact and solid in the match against Diddeleng.
Diddeleng defeated St Patrick’s Athletic in the first qualifying round of the Europa Conference League. They won the first leg at home 2-1 before beating ST Patrick’s Athletic 2-3 away from home, sealing a 3-5 aggregate win.
