They kicked off their domestic campaign with a nervy display in front of their home fans last weekend, as they secured a dramatic 4-3 win over Modena in the opening round of the Coppa Italia.

Last season was a hugely successful campaign for Fiorentina, as they achieved an excellent finish in eighth place in the standings. The Italian side also secured a spot in the Europa Conference League playoff round after Juventus’ exclusion from UEFA competitions. Fiorentina won 15 of their 38 matches last term, and they suffered just 12 defeats. 

The Italian side have added quality to the team over the summer, as they prepare to battle in numerous competitions. Arthur’s arrival on a loan deal from Juventus could be a smart addition if he is able to get back to his best level.
