English Premier League Predictions for This Weekend – Matchday 10, Season 2020/21

Crystal Palace vs Newcastle – Friday 20:00

Welcome to our Premier League predictions this weekend with match previews. The PL schedule this week gets underway in London on Friday evening with this live on TV fixture. Crystal Palace hold the home advantage as they battle to strengthen their claim for a top-10 finish this season. The Eagles set-up on the back of a decent run of form and impressed when hammering Leeds United 4-1 at this venue earlier in the month.

Newcastle have slumped to the bottom half of the table following another poor start to the campaign and the Magpies are in trouble of being dragged into the relegation fight once again. A familiar predicament for members of the Toon Army. Newcastle lost two games on the bounce, shot down by Southampton at St Mary’s Stadium and Chelsea last weekend at St James’ Park. Confidence is low in the camp and they may struggle again. Follow our Premier League predictions this weekend.

Brighton vs Liverpool – Saturday 12:30

Our English Premier League predictions for Saturday begin when last season’s champions travel to Brighton for an early afternoon kick-off that is sure to pull in a huge TV audience. The locals know the size of the challenge in trying to stop Jurgen Klopp’s side, but the locals appear to be improving after making a miserable start. The Seagulls have lost only one of their last five games, drawing three and beating Aston Villa 2-1 last weekend on the road.

Liverpool haven’t been faultless during the early exchanges of their title defence, but they do carry strong form into this test and fans will be confident the Reds are good enough to add another three points to their tally. Liverpool recorded back-to-back wins to keep pace with the early leaders but were held to a draw by Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium. Salah gave his men the lead, but that advantage was cut out by Gabriel Jesus. Premier League predictions below.

  • Odds on Brighton to win 5.05
  • Odds on Liverpool to win 1.61
  • Prediction – Liverpool to win
  • Betting Tip – Liverpool win @ 1.61

Man City vs Burnley – Saturday 15:00

Next in our Premier League predictions 2020/21 and it’s still very early in the season but followers of Manchester City, so used to dominating English football in recent times, have cause for concern over the way their club have started the season. The Cityzens were favourites with many leading pundits to wrestle the crown back from Liverpool this season but things haven’t gone according to plan. Pep Guardiola’s men are in the bottom half of the table and winless in their last two. Pep Guardiola needs a result.

Opponents Burnley travel to the Etihad Stadium knowing they are underdogs to get anything out of the contest, but they will take heart from their opponent’s poor form. The visitors have found points difficult to come by themselves, however, and are already in the thick of a relegation battle. If things don’t improve quickly the Clarets could find themselves falling off the pace during winter. Follow our Premier League predictions this weekend.

Everton vs Leeds United – Saturday 17:30

Firmly back from the international break and this is a battle of two teams that started the season well but have fallen down the pecking order in the last few weeks. Everton are the home team but seek improvement after going on a four-game winless run and losing three games on the bounce. It’s still too early to panic but the Toffees followers know things must improve quickly if they are to trouble the European places.

Newly-promoted Leeds United have had no trouble finding the net since winning last season’s Championship title but they have been fragile in defence at the top level, conceding 17 goals in their first eight games. The early signs suggest they may avoid relegation but need to improve at the back if they are to target the top 10. Football predictions and betting tips below.

  • Odds on Everton to win 1.91
  • Odds on Leeds to win 3.68
  • Prediction – Everton win

West Brom vs Sheff Utd – Saturday 20:00

EPL week 10 predictions continue and West Brom are back at The Hawthorns but three defeats in three games has the Baggies mixing it at the wrong end of the table and have the threat of relegation hanging over them. They are without a win in their first nine games and conceding goals at a worrying rate.,

Sheff Utd are rooted to the bottom of the Premier League and look another team likely to spend most of this campaign struggling to keep afloat. The Blades impressed last season but are a shadow of their former selves this time. They too are in miserable form and may see a share of the spoils as a decent result. EPL predictions for this week are here.

  • Odds on West Brom to win 2.6
  • Odds on Sheff Utd to win 2.79

Southampton vs Man Utd – Sunday 14:00

Southampton have been performing much higher than most pundits had expected and are putting pressure on the prize places, troubling the top-four. Could they keep it up and secure Champions League football at St Mary’s next season? There’s still a long way to go but the home team are certainly heading in the right direction. EPL this week hands them a home match.

The Red Devils have suffered a less than convincing start to the season and are well off the pace as a result. Nothing has been decided yet and we’ve already seen the Old Trafford board will give their manager time to get it right, but the pressure is on Solskjaer to drive his team up the charts with a run of wins. Premier League predictions to follow.

  • Odds on Man Utd to win 1.992

Chelsea vs Tottenham – Sunday 16:30

Next in our Premier League matchweek 10 predictions and what a game we have in store here as two London clubs go toe-to-toe in a battle over three vital Premier League points at Old Trafford. Champions League runners Chelsea spent big in the summer and manager Lampard has seen an instant improvement in his side as he aims to close the gap between the Blues and the league leaders. It’ll be interesting to see if Chelsea can challenge for the title this season. They are on an unbeaten run and have won each of their last three outings.

Tottenham seem the team to beat in the early part of the season and Mourinho has them playing aggressive football, getting EPL results and setting the standard. They secured a stunning win over Man City last weekend which showed just how serious they are about taking Liverpool’s title. Harry Kane is always a danger and he’s been enjoying some great service from his fellow attacking players at Spurs. This should be a thrilling 90 minutes. Premier League week 10 predictions below.

Arsenal vs Wolves – Sunday 19:15

Top of the bill on Sunday is the second part of a London double-header as Europa League runners Arsenal welcome Wolves to the Emirates Stadium for a 19:15 kick-off that will be shown live on TV. The Gunners have been unable to put a run of wins together so far and, as a result, are toiling in midtable which will be frustrating for everyone connected to the club.

Wolves have enjoyed success against Arsenal in recent years and know all about their opponent’s weaknesses. If they arrive in London and perform to the best of their abilities, they have the players good enough to cause an upset. Wolves have been inconsistent of late but when in the mood they are a match for any opponent at this level. EPL predictions week 10 as follows.

  • Odds on Arsenal to win 2.08
  • Odds on Wolves to win 3.66
  • Prediction – Wolves win

There hasn’t been too much for Fulham fans to cheer since they returned to the top-flight and the pressure is on to tighten their defence and turn defeats into draws before it’s too late. Another tough away trip for the Cottagers. EPL expert predictions right here.
