Despite that, they sit five clear of the relegation places with five games of the season left to play. 

A sixth draw of the season was picked up in their previous match, as they managed to hold on to a 1-1 draw against Stuttgart. Dion Beljo opened the scoring for Augsburg in that game, but Stuttgart struck back with just 12 minutes of the 90 remaining.
