Eintracht Frankfurt is in their revival spirit. Their positive result at their first match this year is likely to boost their confidence for their campaign at the second half of the season. This weekend Adolf Hutter’s men are ready to take a higher stake as they are hosting the leader of the standing, RB Leipzig. It will definitely be tougher than their previous match.
Felipe Kostic and Co began the 2020 with a surprising 2-1 win over the host Hoffenheim. Their winning goals were scored by the former Sporting Lisbon striker, Bast Dost and the American winger Timothy Chandler. It was their first three points after being winless for six matches in a row.
Meanwhile, RB Leipzig is going strong. They have been unbeaten for the past thirteen games in all competition. Last weekend, they crushed Union Berlin 3-1. Julian Nagelsmann’s men were conceded first at as Marius Bulter opened the score sheet. They had to wait at the second half to turn things around by Timo Werner’s brace and Marcel Sabitzer’s strike. Such victory led them to keep their position on the top with four points different from the runner-up Bayern Munich.
The Austrian Adolf Hutter mainly opts for 3-5-2 this season but in the previous matches, he attempts 4-4-1-1 formation and succeeded. Bast Dost is the main frontman in his squad supported by Filip Kostic and the Portuguese forward Goncalo Paciencia.
The wonder manager, Julian Nagelsmann has various formations to deploy from 4-1-4-1, 3-1-4-2, 3-4-2-1 or 4-2-3-1. The last one seems to be his main preference for Leipzig this season. He counts on the speedy Werner as a wide frontman and Patrick Schick or Yrary Poulsen at the target man.
In Frankfurt’s current squad, the Serbia Winger, Filip Kostic has been one of the top performers with his one goal and six assists. Another notable one is the Austrian central defender Martin Hinteregger who surprisingly has netted six goals, more than their senior frontman, Bast Dost.
The current title contender, RB Leipzig certainly has Timo Werner as the main scorer. He has bagged twenty goals and provided six assists so far. Some other key figures of the team are Marcel Sabitzer, Emile Forsberg and Christopher Nkunku.
Frankfurt will have to strive to snatch points here despite playing at their home turf as Leipzig has been in their positive trend. They are obliged to secure three points here too to extend their lead from Bayern. Julian Nagelsmann’ men’s narrow win is quite plausible here.
The visitor’s side seems to be a clear favourite, according to the punters. Their win market is at 1.73, whereas Felipe Kostic and co are only backed to win only at 4.00. The draw result is at the value of 4.20.
