Dinamo Zagreb vs FC Astana Prediction: Champions League Match on 25.07.2023

Dinamo Zagreb will welcome FC Astana to the Stadion Maksimir on Tuesday at 18:00 GMT for the first leg of the second qualifying round of the Champions League.

Key Highlights

Dinamo Zagreb warmed up for the clash with Astana with a 1-2 defeat to Hajduk Split last Friday. Although Zagreb dominated possession with 67%, they could only manage three shots on target to the visitors’ five, with both teams having 11 shots apiece. On the evidence of this defeat, Dinamo Zagreb will need to improve their defensive solidity ahead of welcoming Astana on Tuesday.

Astana emerged too strong for Dinamo Tbilisi after overcoming them on aggregate in the first qualifying round. They were held to a 1-1 draw in the first leg before winning the second, away from home, in a 1-2 scoreline. They progressed to the second round of qualifiers 3-2 on aggregate. They will look for a positive result away to Dinamo Zagreb on Tuesday before the second leg next week.
