It is a relegation six-pointer on Sunday when eighteenth-placed Hellas Verona travel to Giovanni Zini Stadium to face nineteenth-placed Cremonese in Serie A at 13:00 GMT.
Cremonese’s chances of survival in Serie A are becoming difficult as the business end approaches. They have amassed 19 points, just two above bottom side Sampdoria. However, Cremonese are seven points behind 18th-placed Verona and eight points adrift of Spezia in 17th. They will need a minor miracle to make up the gap and survive in the league this season.
Verona are better placed to avoid the drop than Cremonese because they are just a point away from safety with seven rounds of matches remaining in Serie A. Their form has also improved in the last matches. They are unbeaten in the last three matches, winning twice and drawing once, as they have reduced the gap to the sides above them on the table.
Cremonese will be without defender Vlad Chiriches (a tear to the abductor muscle), center-forward Frank Tsadjout (unknown injury), and center-back Emanuel Aiwu (unknown injury).
Hellas will miss up to seven squad members ahead of the clash with Cremonese, including Henry, Hrustic, Zeefuik, Abildgaard, Cecceherini, Lasagna, and Terracciano.
Hellas Verona will win away from home to bolster their survival chances.
