Boston goalkeeper Tuukka Rask said he is considering ending of his career in 2021. The term of the hockey agreement with the club is until the end of the 2020/21 season.
“I have one year of contract left, so we’ll see if I will play at all. We will see.”, said Tuukka.
Difficulties with travelling with two, and now almost three children (in April, the birth of a third child is expected in the Rask family) makes him think.
“I like everything. But it’s difficult,” Rask quotes the NHL official website with a link to the Boston Globe.
The goalkeeper also said that he would not play in Finland if he decided not to sign a new contract in the NHL.
Let’s recall that Rask is a very title hockey goaltender. He is a winner of the Stanley Cup 2011 (The Stanley Cup was awarded to Boston Bruins, who in the seventh match of the final round, on the June 15, beat Vancouver Canucks), finalist of the Stanley Cup 2013, 2019, winner of the Vezina Trophy 2014. In the 2005 NHL draft, he was selected in the first round by the Toronto Maple Leafs club.
