Borussia Dortmund has an unbelievable chance to end the Bundesliga season as champions this term. They currently sit top of the standings, and boast a one-point advantage over Bayern Munich with just five games of the season remaining. Dortmund has been in excellent recent form, as they have picked up two wins from their previous three matches. However, they have still lost once over their last five. 

Dortmund moved to the top of the standings last weekend, as they picked up an emphatic 4-0 victory at home against Eintracht Frankfurt. It was a hugely impressive display, as the league-leaders sailed into a 3-0 first half advantage following efforts from Jude Bellingham, Donyell Malen, and Mats Hummels. 

Bochum are sill playing for important points themselves, as they sit just outside the relegation places at this late stage of the season. They are just two points above the relegation playoff spot, and they come into this fixture on Friday after failing to win in their previous four matches. 

Bochum suffered an 18th loss of the season in their previous match, as they were easily brushed aside by Wolfsburg at home. No side in the Bundesliga has lost as many games as Bochum this term, and they will desperately be looking for a change in their fortunes if they are to remain in the top-flight over the final month of the season.
