Bayern did lose their composure in the final stages and conceded a consolation, but their overall performance was solid. 

Augsburg will have their sights set on a mid-table finish in the Bundesliga this term. They currently sit 13th overall, and could move up to eleventh with a victory this weekend. However, they will still have one eye on what’s happening behind them in the standings, as they are just eight points clear of the drop zone. 

Augsburg comes into this fixture after a positive performance in their most recent fixture, as they registered a 2-1 home win against Werder Bremen. Their goals were scored very early in each of the two halves, with Dion Drena Beijo opening the scoring, before Arne Maier added a second very early in the second half.
