For the first time this season, Barcelona will play at their temporary home at the Olympic Stadium. The reigning Spanish champions didn’t get off to the best start in La Liga in their opening match, as they could only play out a 0-0 draw against Getafe. That was a disappointing performance by the champions, as they struggled to create scoring opportunities against a side battling against relegation last term. 

Barcelona were forced to play the entirety of the second half with just ten men, as Raphinha was sent off on the stroke of half time. Xavi will likely adjust his system for the second match of the season, as he will likely look to play two wingers nearer to Robert Lewandowski in the final third of the field.

Cadiz were another of the sides that struggled throughout last season, as they eventually finished just two points above the bottom three places in the standings. Overall, they won just ten matches in the competition last term, and they scored the second-fewest goals in the league. 

However, the team would have been delighted with the start of the season that they made, as they recorded a hard-fought 1-0 win in front of their home fans against Alavez. There were few chances for either side in that match, with Cadiz breaking the deadlock after just seven minutes. Federico San Emeterio was the match-winning hero in that opening match, but the visitors this weekend will be without Gonzalo Escalante, who was sent off in the closing stages in the opening match.
