Gian Piero Gasperini will have to choose a team to face Roma without up to six players from his first-team squad.

Defensive midfielder Teun Koopmeiners is nursing a Biceps femoris muscle injury. The 25-year-old has been out of action since March 4, 2023, and has missed six matches for Atalanta.

Gasperini will also be without left winger Lukas Vorlicky, recovering from knee problems, and has missed four matches so far. 

Other injury doubts for the clash with Roma include attacking midfielder Mario Pasalic (distortion of the ankle) and left-back Matteo Ruggeri (muscular problems).

Roma

Jose Mourinho will have a few injury challenges ahead of the clash against Atalanta. This is especially problematic given the busy schedule for Roma, including their continued involvement in the latter stages of the Europa League.

Center-forward Tammy Abraham is a doubt for the match against Atalanta; the Englishman has been nursing a shoulder problem since April 13m 2023. The 25-year-old will take a late fitness test to determine whether he will be fit for the Atalanta clash.
