AC Milan must switch their focus back to domestic matters after their Champions League second leg against Inter Milan this weekend, as they look to get back in the hunt for a Champions League finish. Milan currently sits fifth in the overall standings, and they have four points to make up on Lazio to finish in the top four. They appear to be struggling on the pitch at present, as they have recorded just two wins over their last five. 

There was clear unrest among the travelling Milan fans last weekend, as they asked questions of the team following a 2-0 loss on the road against Spezia. Milan looked short of ideas in the final third throughout that fixture, as they managed just three shots on target.

This could be a good match for Milan to bounce back, as Sampdoria has nothing to play for after their relegation to the second tier was confirmed. They remain bottom of the standings, and they are 12 points from safety with just three rounds of matches remaining. Sampdoria has registered just three victories all season, and they have lost three of their last four. 

They at least put on a battling display for their home fans in their previous fixture, as they managed to record a 1-1 draw against Empoli. They were denied maximum points in that fixture after Empoli equalised with just seconds remaining.
