AC Milan announced the signing of a contract with striker Mario Mandzukic. “The club and the striker have agreed on a deal before the end of this season, with the option of extending the contract for the next season,” – states the official website of the club. Mario will be number 9.
The Croatian footballer began his professional career in 2004 at Marsonia and then played for Zagreb and Dynamo Zagreb. In the summer of 2010, he moved to Germany to play for Wolfsburg (60 matches and 20 goals) and Bayern Munich (88 games and 48 goals). In the 2014/2015 season, he played for Atletico Madrid, scoring 20 goals in 43 matches, then moved to Juventus. In five seasons at the Turin club, he played 162 games and scored 44 goals. In January 2020, he transferred to Qatari club Al-Duhail, scoring one goal in 7 matches. Mandzukic has won 24 trophies: the Champions League, the UEFA Super Cup, the FIFA World Cup, 9 championships and 12 national cups and Super Cups. He is the second top scorer for the Croatian national team with 33 goals in 89 appearances.
